6^th graders have been working on stories in the Treasures series…  We take weekly FCAT assessments and selection tests.  We are also reading an amazing novel by Margaret Peterson Haddix, entitled, “Among the Hidden.”  It is great!! Ask your 6^th grader about it…  Is s/he a shadow child???  This is the first book in the shadow children series… It is awesome!  Details for a project will be coming soon…. Never fear… I will keep you informed.  J  The kids should be working on AR points.  The goal is 25… Many of them have already surpassed that goal… yippee!!!!  Please encourage them to read, read, read.  A.R. logs are checked on Fridays.  I have them taped in the planner to make this easier to remember. 

K-5^th Grades:

We have been working on logics, Challenge Math, Reading and learning about incredible artists!  We have been studying Picasso, Matisse, Seurat and Dali.  Please take a look at the pictures below to see if your child can explain them to you.  Ask the artists’ name and the style of art he uses.  This has been wonderful… “WE” have learned so much!
