For the past few years google has been running a contest for children K-12 to design the google doodle.
The topic-What I'd like to do someday...
Fly to the moon, be an inventor, a cupcake baker, a writer, an artist? What I'd like to do someday...
The winning doodle will be posted on May 20, 2011. There are age categories and prizes.
Parents may sign their children up.
Registration is due March 2, 2011 http://www.google.com/doodle4google/

What I'd like to do someday...win the google doodle prize :)
Does your child have over 5000 lego pieces? sets? Are they looking for the perfect piece to make the ultimate ferrari enzo? Have you ever stepped on those itty bitty pieces hiding in the carpet in the middle of the night? Then First lego league may be our answer! http://usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/fll/default.aspx?id=970. I have been looking into this program but it looks like a lot of work (ie HELP!). If anyone else has a 9-14 year old and is interested in trying to start a team or maybe just having a lego get together, post a comment or see Angie at the next meeting.
